Wayne Siewert

Living Proof Pastor

Pastor R. Wayne Siewert was born in Canada. Wayne felt called to the ministry at 19 years of age.  That calling became more specific to music ministry as he travelled with a contemporary gospel quartet on weekends.  Just prior to his marriage to Marilyn they were in a head-on collision, but God spared them. They served as youth sponsors, and Wayne as lay Music Director in their home church.  After a year of marriage, they travelled with their family trio for a year.  Following their return home, they resumed their involvement in the church ministry while Wayne studied and trained as a Trust Officer with a bank.  Wayne was called to Calgary First Assembly as Music Pastor where he also began his pastoral studies.  He also served as Music Minister in Hamilton, Edmonton and then again in his home church in Kelowna.  The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada ordained Wayne in 1987.  Wayne, Marilyn and their four children immigrated to Flint, MI in 1989 as Minister of Music.  They also served in San Diego, Denver, Detroit, Victorville from 1996 to 1999, Beaumont, TX and Wichita, KS.  They returned to Canada in 2004 to assist with the care of their aging parents.  The Lord reminded Wayne of a vision he had years prior of planting a church in their hometown which he did.  The church plant was meeting in the Nazarene Church facility.  When their pastor resigned, Wayne was asked to be their interim pastor.  After a short while, the two congregations joined as one, which he then pastored.  After a full year of immigration delays, in December 2019 Wayne and Marilyn were thrilled to come back to Victorville to serve as Pastor to Senior Adults & Pastoral Care.

Wayne enjoys golfing, reading, watching hockey, football and baseball, playing trumpet, grilling and good food.
