| Lead Pastor - Dr. John C. Martin |
 |
Dr. John C. Martin was voted in as the Lead Pastor of Victorville First Assembly on Sunday, September 10, 2006. His first Sunday in the pulpit was October 29, 2006.
Prior to coming to Victorville First Assembly, he served for 6.5 years as the senior pastor of Calvary Christian Assembly in Seattle, Washington. Pastor John has also pastored in Coulee City, Washington, and served as executive director of the division of Church Ministries for the Northwest Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God.

Dr. Martin earned his B.A. at Northwest University located in Kirkland, Washington, his Master of Religious Education at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, and Doctor of Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.
He previously served on the Pastors Advisory Board and the School of Nursing Advisory Board at Northwest University. He also served as a Sectional Presbyter for the Northwest Ministry Network. Pastor John was selected as citizen of the year in Coulee City, Washington in 1996.
He served as the golf coach for Victor Valley Christian School for the 2007 season. The VVCS team won the league for the season and he was voted Coach of the Year for the Agape League of Southern California.
Pastor John and Ronda celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in July, 2007. They have two children, Rachel and Joshua.

| Campus Pastor Apple Valley - Wayne J. Boyd |

Pastor Wayne J. Boyd has served on the VFA staff for over seven years. He is the Apple Valley Campus Pastor.
Prior to coming to VFA, he served as a youth pastor in Oregon and central California. In total, he has been in full-time ministry for over twelve years.
Pastor Wayne has a heart for people, and a passion for ministry and the things of God that is very evident. His infectious smile and warm attitude will make you feel right at home.

He and his wife, Christl, have celebrated thirteen years of marriage. They have two children, Wyatt and Bethany.

| Executive Pastor - Josh Gerbracht |

Pastor Josh Gerbracht is our Executive Pastor and joined our team in mid-August, 2007. He grew up in Cowiche, Washington, on an apple orchard.
He pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington. It was there that he met his wife Julie. They have three daugthers, Ellie, Abigail, and Olivia.

| Youth Pastor - Tom Hammel |
Pastor Tom Hammel joined our Lead Team on April 1, 2008, and serves as our Youth Pastor and Chaplain for Victor Valley Christian School's secondary students.
He has been in full-time ministry since 1996. At the age of 17, he began traveling full-time across America teaching and preaching in churches, schools, camps and group homes. His passion is to see young people develop a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ. |

In November of 1999, he and his wife Jami were married. They now have two beautiful little girls, Kylie, and Brittan.
Tom and Jami both grew up in Stockton, California, where their parents currently live.

| Children's Pastor - Jeremy Hogue |

Pastor Jeremy Hogue was raised in the city of Corona, California. Prior to joining our Lead Team, he was on staff at South Hills Community Church, the fastest growing Assemblies of God church in the country.

He has been serving in Children's Ministry for over four years. His heart is to have a ministry where children feel safe, are able to be themselves, where they can experience God's love and build a relationship in Christ.
Pastor Jeremy and Christina were married on Friday, September 14, 2007.

| Comtemporay Worship Pastor - Jim Mattix |

Pastor Jim Mattix joined our Lead Team in August, 2007, to serve as our Contemporary Worship Pastor.
He and Cindy have been married since 1993 and have three beautiful daughters, Amber, Tiffany, and Alicia. He has been involved in community and church theatre, and has also been a soloist for community events.

Pastor Jim has been leading worship, starting out in youth groups in 1990, and in sanctuary worship since 1992, in churches all across the nation; including Arkansas, Missouri, Florida, Nebraska, and now here in the High Desert. Passions are his family, corporate unified expression of worship, relational leadership, contemporary drama and story writing, and golf! His passion for leading people into the presence of God will challenge you to go deeper in your walk with Him.

| Music and Ministry Arts Pastor- Tim Schoch |

Pastor Tim Schoch serves our church family in the capacity of Music and Ministry Arts, and has done so for the last eleven years. He directs the Celebration/"Fire Choir", worship teams, instrumental groups, and special productions.
Tim was raised in Southern California and graduated from Pasadena College/Point Loma University in 1972 with a B.S. in Theology and Christian Education. He has served as a Music Minister for over thirty years in Glendale, Bishop and Victorville, California. |
He and his wife, Linda, have four children and seven grandchildren. Tim and Linda love the ministry that God has called them to. Their heart is to see people worship, grow in God, and accomplish great things for His Kingdom.

| Hispanic Ministries Pastor - Aldo Suarez |
Pastor Aldo Suarez is the Hispanic Ministries Pastor of our church.
He was born in Argentina, and grew up in a Christian family, serving God since his childhood. Prior to his present position on our Lead Team, he served for 14.5 years as the Senior Pastor of Rosemead Christian Center in Rosemead, California. He also worked as a youth pastor for 2 years at El Sendero delaCruz in Huntington Park, California, and as an associate pastor and youth leader in Argentina for several years. |

Pastor Aldo earned his Diploma in Biblical Studies at L.A.B.I. in La Puente, California, his Bachelor of Theology in Latin American Theological Seminary in La Puente, and his Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California.
He and his wife, Liliana, have been happily married for 21 years, and have a beautiful daughter, Katelyn Mariel.

El pastor Aldo nació en Argentina, y creció en una familia cristiana, sirviendo al Señor desde su niñez. Antes de esta posición como Pastor de nuestros Ministerios Hispanos, sirvió por 14,5 años como pastor en Rosemead Centro Cristiano, en Rosemead, California. También trabajó como Pastor de Jóvenes por dos años, en El Sendro de laCruz en Huntington Park, California, y trabajó como Pastor Asociado y Líder de Jóvenes por varios años en Argentina.
El pastor Suarez obtuvo tu Diploma en Estudios Bíblicos en L.A.B.I. en La Puenta, California. Su Bachillerato en Teología, en el Seminario Teológico Latinamericano y su Maestría en Artes Pastorales, en La Universidad del Pacífico de Azusa, California.
El pastor Aldo y su esposa Liliana están felizmente casados por 21 años y tienen una hermosa hija, Katelyn Mariel.

| Pastors of Marriage/Family Ministries & Counseling - Arnold and Gwen Tackett |

Pastors Arnold and Gwen Tackett joined our Lead Team in January, 2009, and serve as the Pastors of Marriage/Family Ministries and Counseling. Pastor Arnold also directs Men's Ministries and Pastor Gwen the Women's Ministries. They are the proud parents of a daughter and a son and the very proud grandparents of five.
The Tackett's are the founders and directors of Vessels of Honor - ministering the healing power of Jesus Christ to those who have suffered abuse. They are the authors of the Vessels of Honor study guide.

They served for 13 plus years with Dr. Leo and Molly Godzich, founders of NAME (the National Association of Marriage Enhancement) and associate pastors at Phoenix First Assembly. Pastor Gwen served as the Director of Ministry as well as Director of NAME Centers nationally and internationally. Pastor Arnold served as Director of Special Projects for NAME as well as Regional Director of NAME Centers.
The Tackett's have traveled with the Godzich' for the past ten years assisting and conducting Together Forever Marriage Weekends all around the country. They are conference speakers and speak annually at the International Marriage Conference and the Pastors' Conference held at Phoenix First Assembly. Pastors Arnold and Gwen have served in several ministry leadership positions including fulltime pastoral ministry and the planting of a church. The Tackett's completed their Masters through Phoenix University of Theology.
Their testimony is one of the healing pwoer of Jesus Christ. They have walked through some difficult marital and family situations and openly proclaim the power of Jesus to heal, restore and totally revolutionize lives. The Tackett's are NAME certified marriage counselors and have conducted the training of numerous couples for certification as well as authoring marriage curriculum. They have witnessed numbers of couples restored victoriously including pastoral couples.

| Pastor Emeritus - Claude White |
| The Church Board of Victorville First Assembly has bestowed the honor of Pastor Emeritus on Claude White. Pastor Claude & Ruthe White have served in ministry for over 60 years. They have pastored a number of churches in the Southern California District of the Assemblies of God. |

| Most recently, Claude has served as an Area Director for the Southern California District Council, working with many churches in our region, helping encourage pastors and troubleshoot problems. He and Ruthe joined our staff in August, 2008. We are excited to honor the Whites in this new position. |
