Pastor Josh Gerbracht grew up in Eastern Washington on an Apple and Pear Orchard. After attending Northwest College in Kirkland Washington where he received his BA in Biblical Literature he went back to his hometown in Yakima, Washington where he served as a Jr. High and Children’s Pastor for 2 years. After graduating, he was licensed with the Assemblies of God and received his Ordination in 2000. He married his wife Julie, who he met at Northwest, and they have three girls. He and his family left to join the staff at Calvary Temple in Seattle, Washington where he ministered as a Children’s Pastor for 5 years and the Executive Pastor for 4 years. During this time he received his Masters of Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. After leaving Seattle, Josh and Julie ministered at Auburn Family Church as their Executive Pastor for a 1 ½ years and then they received the call to go to First Assembly of God in Victorville. Here, he served as the Executive Pastor of the church and the Superintendent of Victor Valley Christian School. In 2013 Josh and Julie were led to become the Campus Pastors at First Assembly of God Apple Valley Campus. Josh enjoys reading, technology (especially Apple), the Seattle Seahawks, his backyard landscaping, and going to Disney Land with the kids.
Pastor Josh has a passion to see people transformed because of an encounter with Jesus Christ. Who they are today is not who they are tomorrow or a year from now because of their relationship with God. He describes the church using three word pictures: Lighthouse, Gym, and Hospital. We are a LIGHTHOUSE: people see Jesus through us and through our church and we need to let our light shine brightly in this world. We are a GYM: people should be growing in their faith daily, weekly, and yearly. And, we are a HOSPITAL: we desire to see hurting people come to know Jesus Christ and to be made whole again. Only Jesus can remove the baggage of hurts in our lives.
